TWO MAJOR STEEL BRIDGES BUILT BY CIMOLAI S.p.A. IN PERU: THE CABLE-STAYED NANAY BRIDGE AND THE ARCH BRIDGE OF LA JOYA

Negli ultimi anni, il Perù ha registrato uno sviluppo economico significativo, con una crescita media del PIL del 5% circa annuo dal 1999 al 2018. Durante questo periodo, il Paese è emerso come una delle realtà più stabili dell’America Latina, diventando la sesta economia della regione, grazie anche all’esportazione di materie prime. Questo sviluppo è stato accompagnato da una crescente domanda di infrastrutture, tra le quali la Cimolai S.p.A. ha realizzato due ponti in acciaio di luce considerevole, ma con caratteristiche molto diverse fra loro, utilizzando un ampio spettro di tecniche e soluzioni ingegneristiche di montaggio e costruzione, che meritano di essere raccontate.

In recent years, Peru has experienced significant economic development, with an average annual GDP growth of around 5% from 1999 to 2018. During this period, the country emerged as one of the most stable economies in Latin America, becoming the sixthlargest economy in the region, thanks in part to the export of raw materials. This development has been accompanied by a growing demand for infrastructures, among which Cimolai S.p.A. has built two steel bridges of considerable span, but with very different characteristics. These projects involved a wide range of techniques and engineering solutions for assembly and construction, which are worth sharing.
